About Dr. Nancy Hooyman

I am Nancy Wilcox Hooyman.

The Nancy in me is full of grace, Tuesday's child. It is my given name, finding its origin in Grace and Ann, corresponding to St. Anne, the mother of Mary and grandmother of Jesus. I try to be and accept grace in my daily life.

The Wilcox in me is the artist, nurturer and physician. The first two traits are passed on to me from my parents. The physician part is something I wanted to do since early childhood. My parents encouraged me and help make it possible. That part of my life is my joy and my gift.

The Hooyman in me is wife, mother, leader and spiritual mentor. Married for ages to Tom Hooyman, my life has been made richer and more amusing through him. I have two sons, Andrew and Chris who are fine young men, daring, handsome and forthright. These three men saved me from myself and my need to be perfect, absolute and serious. I owe them everything.
